News Release March 2007
Punkin Center, LLC, a limited liability company owned by members of the Janicki family in Sedro-Woolley, has
purchased approximately 100 acres in Hamilton, WA, commonly known as the old Scott Paper (Crown Pacific) log yard. This purchase
concludes a 2-year property search, including sites outside of Washington state. Punkin Center, LLC intends to lease a portion of
the site to Janicki Industries, Inc. for construction of 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
Additional 5-axis mills and support equipment will be located at this facility to accommodate the increased demand
for composite aerospace tooling. Janicki Industries' fourth 5-axis mill at the main site began cutting parts in October 2005 and has been
a complete success. Mill 4 is a linear drive mill with a working envelope of 58' by 14' with 5' of vertical travel and new control
systems were invented to improve the mills accuracy.
Efforts are underway to establish utility infrastructure to the Hamilton property, including fiber optic services.
Construction of the new building could begin as soon as utilities and permitting are in place. The company would like to begin
building before the end of this summer.
