250° Composite Tools
Our 250° tools are a carbon fiber or fiberglass tool infused with resin selected to meet exact customer specifications. These 250° tools are available in two variations: cast (J-500) and machined (J-600). A machined tool allows for the maintenance of higher accuracies through post machining. These 250° tools are provided with laser tracking reports and vacuum verification is performed to ensure conformity. Depending on tooling requirements, the tool's support consists of a welded steel or composite egg-crate backing structure. Modifications to the build process can be made to allow for a 300° use temperature.

Cast 250° Tool (J-500)
Cast 250° tools, also referred to as molded or transfer tools, are infused on a highly accurate machined pattern and produce a highly accurate tool with a resin rich surface.

• Finish: Resin rich surface; 32 rms typical
• Support: Steel tubing or Composite egg-crate

Machined 250° Tool (J-600)
Machined 250° tools are infused on a machined pattern and post-machined on its support structure with our 5-axis mills. The tool's machined primer surface is finished to specifications and maintains better tolerances than molded tools.
