Rapid Prototyping with a 3D Printer
Janicki Industries is now able to print and assemble 3D models that can be used for a variety of applications. Our goal is to provide our customers with another design tool that will allow them to be more effective in today's fast paced markets. JI can now provide early stage concept models, finite element analysis visualization models, functional test models and presentation models.

JI's Spectrum Z510 Full Color System produces high-definition models and prototypes quickly and affordably. This printer creates parts with crisply defined features, enhanced accuracy, and precise color, allowing you to evaluate physical models of design concepts in their nearly finished state. Rapid 3D printing of high-definition models means you no longer have to wait for prototypes. This unique, 24-bit color, 3D printing capability produces color models that accurately reflect your original design data. Color models communicate more information than any other type of rapid prototype, providing you with a strategic advantage in product development.

Pricing at Janicki is based on the following:
Modeling time will be estimated on how "print ready" the electronic model is. Often times the customer will provide a file that is ready to be imported into the Zprint software. If the model is not print ready JI Design Engineers will use Unigraphics CAD/CAM software to create electronic models that can be exported to the STL or VRML format used for printing. Call for our standard charge for modeling.
Print time and materials: Print time is most affected by the height of the model. Taller models require more print time. Printing a monochrome model is faster than printing a color model. If a model will be painted for presentation, it's usually best to request a monochrome model.
Finish: The model will normally be infiltrated with a finishing epoxy. Other infiltration systems can be used for additional strength and 'Class A' finishes can be applied at additional cost.
Lead time: Most models will be completed within 3 days of the geometry approval. Standard shipping is via FedEx 2nd day delivery. Models can be expedited when required.
