Employee Stories: Hayden, Project Engineer Lead

From Intern to Engineer

Hayden is a project engineer lead here at Janicki. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Spanish minor from Washington State University, where he also played football. During his summers, he gained hands-on experience as an intern at Janicki. After graduating, he returned to the company and has been an integral part of the team ever since.

Collaboration

What drew Hayden to Janicki was the family-owned atmosphere and the exceptional company culture.

He currently works with the parts team and has also gained valuable experience on the tooling team. One of his most rewarding projects involved using his expertise in both tooling and parts to guide a project from its initial putty pattern all the way through to delivery.

Known for his strong work ethic and drive, Hayden has become a highly valuable member of the tooling team. He is constantly inspired by the advanced tooling capabilities at Janicki.

“There’s nowhere that does as cool of stuff as we do in this area,” Hayden says.

Beyond Work

Beyond his professional life, Hayden enjoys a variety of activities. He’s passionate about dirt biking, skiing, working on a ranch, and restoring a 1972 Chevrolet with his dad. In addition, he volunteers as a firefighter for the town of La Conner.
