Job Description
Janicki Industries is hiring multi-talented Mechanical Engineers with experience in machine design. The ideal candidate will be a great machine designer with experience using bearings, gears, servo-systems, weldments, precision machined parts, etc., in their production-ready designs. Proficiency with CAD (NX or Catia), including large assemblies, is required.
We are a rapidly growing engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in large scale, high precision, composite tooling and parts for everything from jet fighters, to space capsules, to the world's fastest racing yachts. We have a wide range of machine design projects, including large scale machine tools (i.e. our 5-axis mills), robotic systems, manufacturing equipment with integral electronics and controls, and power generation equipment. Our projects range in size from very large machines with thousands of pounds of moving mass to ultra-high precision elements at very small scale.
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our machines, we are looking for engineers with hands-on experience. Our ideal candidates will:
- Use their broad knowledge of machines and mechanical components along with their analytical engineering background to deliver production-ready, highly reliable, highly automated equipment.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects from preliminary design through detail engineering and stress analysis, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning in production.
- Work with machines in a live production environment to learn about how designs can be improved.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited University. Candidates with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering are preferred.
- At least 5 years of professional experience designing small to large mechanical systems with a wide range of mechanical components
- At least 5 years experience using either NX or CATIA CAD software
- Experience managing large assembly models and drawings, outsourcing manufacturing, and managing assembly of components
- Must be able to work well in an integrated, multidisciplinary, collaborative, team environment, including daily interactions with technicians, millwrights, machinists, engineers, and managers
- PROOF OF U.S. CITIZENSHIP OR PERMANENT RESIDENCY REQUIRED.
