Janicki honored by U.S. Navy at 2025 Employer Recognition Event

Janicki was recognized as an Outstanding Civilian Employer during the U.S. Navy’s 2025 Navy Employer Recognition Event, held June 12 aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln in San Diego, California. The award highlights Janicki’s continued commitment to supporting employees who serve in the military. The nomination came from Corey Mosher, a facilities maintenance technician at Janicki and a U.S. Navy reservist.

Mosher serves as an E-6 aviation machinist’s mate (AD) engine mechanic with a C-130 squadron based in New Jersey. He joined Janicki in 2023 after relocating to Utah with his wife, who is active-duty Army. During his time with the company, he has deployed overseas, most recently to a base near Tokyo, and travels monthly to the East Coast for service duties.

“I’ve had a great year with Janicki, and after coming back from my last deployment, I nominated the company,” Mosher said. “Janicki has just been getting better and better. Half of my team is veterans, and we have that shared purpose of teamwork.”

Mosher attended the recognition event with Eric Grace, director of operations. Hosted by Vice Adm. Nancy Lacore, chief of Navy Reserve and commander, Navy Reserve Force, the event honored employers from across the country who provide exceptional support to Navy Reserve sailors balancing military and civilian careers.

The day included a tour of the aircraft carrier, demonstrations from the Navy Marine Mammal Program and military working dogs, and engagement with SEAL Team 17 operators. Attendees also viewed an aircraft static display from Fleet Logistics Support Squadron VR-57 and heard remarks from representatives with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

Vice Adm. Lacore emphasized the impact of employer support on national defense.

“The time, trust, and flexibility you offer to your sailors are acts of leadership — and of service,” she said. “And they help keep this force, and this nation, strong.”

Reflecting on the experience, Mosher added, “This was the coolest Navy event I have ever been to in my 10 years of service. The reception was overwhelming; they really went above and beyond.”

We’re proud to support Mosher and all our employees who serve. We thank him for his dedication, his service to our country and for nominating Janicki for this meaningful recognition.
