Janicki Industries Donates $30,000 to Support Flood Recovery Efforts

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash., Jan. 7, 2026 – Janicki Industries is donating $30,000 to Helping Hands Food Bank and Solutions Center to support recovery efforts in the aftermath of record flooding in Washington. Janicki employs more than 1,700 employees and operates over 1 million square feet of manufacturing facilities in Skagit County.

“Our communities require immediate support to repair damaged homes, secure stable housing, and access food and financial assistance,” said John Janicki, president of Janicki. “We are committed to supporting Helping Hands Food Bank and Solutions Center, which has established on-the-ground resources in Skagit County to deliver timely assistance to those impacted by the flooding. We urge those who are able to contribute to support this important effort.”

Helping Hands provides services for families and individuals experiencing food insecurity, unemployment, homelessness, and other challenges through six locations in Skagit County. Janicki has supported Helping Hands for more than 20 years.

“We thank Janicki for their long-standing support and commitment to helping our local community,” said Rebecca Skrinde, chief executive officer of Helping Hands. “This donation will go toward ensuring that those in our community facing challenges accessing food and other basic needs can continue to find stability and solutions for their long-term recovery.”

In addition to the financial contribution, Janicki has coordinated donation drives and volunteer support for Helping Hands with its employees and customers.

About Helping Hands Food Bank and Solutions Center

Helping Hands is Skagit County’s largest direct food provider with six distribution locations across Skagit County. We work to address the inequity in the food bank experience by focusing on participant autonomy and lowering the barriers to entry. We do not have any income or residency requirements, and all our locations provide participants with a choice of food that works best for them. Helping Hands also serves as a touch point to help connect participants with other local programs and services that can help provide stability for individuals and families. Our goal is to ensure that our community has access to the food and resources they need to help them thrive. For more information, visit helpinghandsskagit.org.
